Who We Are
The Oregon Cancer Alliance (OCA) is a not-for-profit collaboration of cancer experts from an array of disciplines who work together to coordinate and improve the care patients receive. This alliance serves patients across many aspects of care, often behind the scenes. The alliance includes cancer doctors, surgeons and specialists that make up a consortium equivalent to a regional cancer center under many roofs.

OCA began in 2012 when members of Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Northwest Specialty Clinics came together in an effort to improve communication and the coordination of patient care.
Membership has grown over the years to include providers across many specialties, all focused on cancer care. Membership is not limited to any organization or affiliation.

Benefits of Membership
Being a member of the Oregon Cancer Alliance keeps local and regional patients in our area. Most importantly, providers will be part of delivering the highest level of coordinated care.
Oregon Cancer Alliance physicians:
- Provide ease of access for patients
- Become better known through reputation and marketing efforts
- Provide state-of-the-art clinical trials
- Strengthen our collective position for reimbursement contracting
- Educate colleagues and community healthcare providers (including symposiums and journal clubs)
- Improve community awareness by participating in events such as Relay for Life and collaborating with Oregon Cancer Foundation
Membership target goals include:
- Attend tumor-specific board at least 50% of the time
- Designate a navigator in the office to help with patient coordination
- Have electronic health records available to others in the tumor-specific group
- Follow NCCN and guidelines set by OCA
- Document yearly CME in specified tumor type
- Pay yearly fee; first year of membership is free
- Provide timely consultations
